Growing up in Hawaiʻi taught me that meaningful communication comes from the spirit of aloha, where respect and connection intersect. Whether I'm developing a digital campaign, designing visual content, or telling stories that inspire action, my goal is to create work that connects people with one another and their communities.
All About Me
My path to communications has been anything but traditional. With a background in fine art, early childhood education, and graphic design, I bring a unique perspective to my work, one that blends creativity, empathy, and strategic thinking. As a preschool teacher, I learned to communicate complex ideas, especially to children with limited language, through empathetic storytelling. These experiences continue to inform how I engage audiences and design communication experiences today.
As a Visual Communications Specialist with Seattle Public Utilities, I create communication materials that help connect communities with important public services. My work combines visual design and audience-centered communication to make information more accessible and engaging.
I am especially drawn to projects that create positive social and environmental change. My interests include environmental communication, Indigenous storytelling, animal welfare, and community-centered design. I believe communication can do more than share information. I believe it can foster understanding, inspire action, and strengthen relationships between people and the places they call home.
In my free time, I like to climb, practice yoga, draw (which you can view on my Instagram), hike, and spend time with friends and family.
