Overview

In preparation for the 2026 FIFA World Cup, Seattle Public Utilities launched the "Let's Play... Without Waste" campaign to encourage residents and visitors to reduce waste and recycle correctly during tournament events. The campaign played an important role in helping more than 700,000 World Cup spectators make sustainable choices during one of the city's largest international events.

As a Visual Communications Intern, I designed campaign assets that transformed sustainability messaging into clear, engaging visuals for a broad public audience.

The Challenge

Communicating with hundreds of thousands of residents and visitors required messaging that was easy to understand, visually engaging, and adaptable across multiple platforms. Every asset needed to align with Seattle Public Utilities' brand standards while supporting accessibility and encouraging simple, actionable behaviors.

My Role

I collaborated with the communications team to design campaign materials that could be used across digital and print channels. Working through multiple rounds of stakeholder feedback, I developed visuals that balanced clarity, consistency, and accessibility while supporting the City's sustainability goals.
